John is involved Health Insurance sector in South Africa where he is based, and became Chairman of REINSURANCE SOLUTIONS in April 2012, when he led the African investor consortium to take over a controlling interest in the Mauritius companies. He has over 30 years’ experience in the insurance sector.

Shiamdass is the Director and has over 40 years reinsurance experience, which took him through Senior Management positions in the African reinsurance industry, ultimately starting the Alexander Forbes reinsurance operations in Mauritius, which later became what is now Reinsurance Solutions.

Shiamdass has been at the forefront of the launch and development of the Company, first in Mauritius, and later in other African markets, developing products and client relationships throughout his career with the company, eventually leading it to become a market leader in Africa.

After more than 40 years in the industry, Shiamdass retired in April 2016, but remains as a Consultant to the executive team and a significant shareholder. Shiamdass can be contacted at sappannah@reinsurance.mu.

Harold is the Regional Director for our newly opened Kenya Liaison office. He has 10 years’ experience in the industry first in Kenya where he worked for 6 years, before joining us in 2013, as Reinsurance Broker.
Harold is a strong marketer, with a pleasant personality backed by a strong experience and is a hard worker with an ambition to succeed.
During the 3 years he has been with us he has made a marked difference to our business growth from the markets he serves, and has dealt with a wide variety of business classes both in Treaty and facultative.
He is passionate about his new posting in Kenya and is determined to make it a success.
